WEL-CO as a women leading organization believes on gender equity in all organizational and project affairs and believes that without direct participation of both men and women, social and democratic development, economic empowerment, and real rehabilitation will not take place in Afghanistan. WEL-CO appreciates the complexity of the issue as well as the limitations and restrictions involved due to different reasons including culture. In programs and project cycle, WEL-CO will promote the level of direct participation of women in decision making processes and would like to identify and recognize women-related needs and to address them more effectively. WEL-CO has female staff within organizational structure, either in senior and medal management level. In addition, in every project gender balance is considered, special focus is given to vulnerable and disabled women in each project.
